Photos - Part of the daily routine at the Hastings Racecourse is the exercising of the horses boarded at the stables behind the track, followed by a brisk scraping of the sandy surface with a tractor pulling a heavy angle iron with perpendicular pegs welded to the under surface which permeates the first few inches of sand in order to break up the many pounded hoof prints around the track. The Champion 740A Grader follows behind the Zetor 7340 Turbo Tractor (See Middle Row) to make the sand smooth again for the next round of exercising.

Photos - First out after an early afternoon exercise session at the Hastings Racecourse is the Zetor 7340 Turbo Tractor which drags a thick iron behind with many steel pegs which scrapes the top layer of the sand there by scoring all of the many hoof prints from an equestrian session. The Champion 740A grader follows behind to reduce the track to a comfortable riding surface.
