Photos - Interesting, colorful graffiti inside the Leeside Tunnel under East Hastings street at Cassiar. Colorful spray paintings leech up above arm's reach on the walls of Leeside to bleed enamels on the ceiling (center frame bottom row). The abandoned tunnel which has been converted to a skate board park is popular with the under 20 generation in east Vancouver. The next closest skate park would be China Creek at Clark and Broadway or across the Second Narrows at Fern and Mountain Highway.
The Leeside tunnel was abandoned when the Cassiar Connector was opened a few years ago to accommodate the Trans Canada Highway (bottom row frame right).
