Photos - Frames left and center: Multifunctional vintage building: Star Grocery at 799 Windermere with living quarters above and storage in behind the store. These commonplace buildings of the 1950s and 1960s are gradually dying off and being replaced with more functional buildings with greater rental space.
Frame right: The southeastern corner and parking lot of St. Margarets Free Church of England originally built in 1922 for the Reformed Episcopal congregation located at 3198 East Georgia Street.

Photos - Center row shows the St. Margarets Church east side and bell tower still in morning sunlight. The main church entrances are on the northern side of the building - the folks inside were still conducting religious rites so I wasn't allowed to photograph, but I did notice the huge cross beams and tall ceiling which gives the inside a good ole British feel to it. Stained glass windows were plane affairs without anything more than a single yellow color spreading over all windows giving a simple but effective 'warmth'.
