Artemisias Stellerana: Dusty Miller, Old woman, Beach wormwood.
The various species of Artemisia are, in most cases, very aromatic and have alternate leaves and small, inconspicuous heads of yellow or yellowish white disk flowers. There are no ray flowers and the disk flowers have no papus. The brackets of the involucre are in several series. The herbaceous species are called wormwood and the woody ones are called sagebrush.
Because of the silvery leaves of the A. Stellerana and its aromatic character, it is a popular item for garden borders and dried flower arrangements.
