Photos - Continuing my journey through the hazardous dirt road of Highway 31 through Trout Lake Valley and Galena Range near Beaton. Again I stopped at a pull out at Lardeau River where the dirt road is a wide enough section in the road as not to be in too much danger of being run over by a large truck. It is worth the trip to absorb some of the breathtaking beauty of pristine wilderness at hand.

Photos - More views of Lardeau River near Beaton - the photograph reduces the four dimensional experience down to two dimensions in a graphical representation that doesn't do the area justice.

Photos - I arrive at Galena Bay at sunset and have about 45 minutes to wait before the ferry boat arrives to take us to the Shelter Bay side of Upper Arrow Lake.
