Photos - More selected details of the Kettle Valley Steam Railway Locomotive #3716 at the Prairie Valley Station in Summerland. The KVSR operates excursion trains over the only remaining section of the Kettle Valley Railway through beautiful vistas, orchards, vineyards, and over the 238' tall Trout Creek Trestle. Trains depart at 10:30 and 1:30 Sat-Mon during the spring and fall and Thurs-Mon through July and August. Check the schedule for special events such as the Great Train Robbery and the Christmas Express.

Also on hand at the Kettle Valley Steam Railway are a collection of artifacts that include an antique baggage cart at the station dock, a Hardie Orchad Sprayer, a Nordberg Spike Puller, a Fairmont Speeder, a Woodings Railcar, a Super White Mustang Tanker Truck, CP Caboose (CP 434432), vintage passenger cars, a Procor Chemical Tanker, and several open passenger cars that accommodate visitors during daily, seasonal train rides.

Photos - Continuing my merry little way along the east side of Okanagan Lake to the north of Penticton to a lovely, rock faced Munson Mountain lookout. This is a small regional park devoted to the beautiful scenery that is unique to the Okanagan Basin, in particular Penticton and the Okanagan Lake's south end. Frame left is a view of the parking lot looking south to a desert-like hill that is typical for this region. Center frame is a view of one rocky cliff face overlooking the bench land to the east of Munson Mountain (frame right).
