Cephalocereus Hoppenstedii: .

This beautiful forest of cacti was photographed in December of 2002, along the main Hyway between Mexico City and Oaxaca. Barely anywhere to pull over to take a pit stop, the road through this mountain pass is steep, narrow, twisty and very dangerous. (The scenery is worth the risk, in my opinion)
