The Marsh Wren at Serpentine Fen Bird Sanctuary - an evasive, skittish little creature full of joy in spring, shouting out his song, telling everyone in the marsh that "It is Spring. I'm looking for a mate." This little beauty is distinguished by the black patch with white stripes on his shoulders. Also the dull white eyebrow stripe is a feature to look for in this 5 inch, cocked tail, slender, stumpy Wren.

Cistotherus Palustris - Marsh Wren, long-billed Marsh Wren - Serpentine Fen Bird Sanctuary, Delta BC - Spring.
