This face is crawling Artwork with a basis of a head and hand displayed at the Blanche Macdonald booth during the career fair held in the Delta Grand Okanagan located in the conference rooms at 1310 Water Street in Kelowna. Crawling on the face and hand are: A Black Widow Spider (on the hand) within its web in the outhouse of a house in San Agustin. The female black widow spider (Latrodectus spp.) is a poisonous spider that has a somewhat round, shiny black abdomen with red markings that resemble an hourglass on the underside. The size of the body is approximately 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/2 to 1 3/8 inches long. Despite common opinion, the female rarely kills the male after mating. Also from Mexico: Family Carbidae (ground Beetle) scurries along an adobe wall painted in red on Medero Hill near Highway 190. The Bumble Bee was a visitor to the house I was staying in at San Agustin Etla, Oaxaca, Mexico.
