Photos - L-R - Oaxaca city limits sign, bragging of building 3,000 latrines.

Village of Etla with a mixture of ancient Aztec symbols and stylize modern motifs.

Village of Zipolite wall with whales... this was one of many villages in the area that actively fished giant turtles, but gave it all up a number of years back when the turtles came near to extinction. The village now has a tourism market that actively promotes turtle conservation.

Photos - L-R - Along the highway to Oaxaca from San Agustine, I find back alleys and side roads that have many interesting images.

The center frame is especially graphic, warning s of industrial pollutants and a dead environment.

Even the younger artists are wising up to the environmental concerns, creating images of disasters and an earth that is burning up and becoming uninhabited except for those wearing special suits.

Photos - Frames left and right: Village of Etla, with a warning about the earth and ecology.

Center frame: In the Village of Huitzo - a message sign, one of many that teach young and old about cleanliness.

This graffiti says something. Something about the environment, how the artist feels about the way things are going. It is a clear message to the public.
