Damselflies
The Pacific Forktail is a small damselfly common in the Pacific Northwest and Southern Interior of BC. These fast flying predators hunt for other flying insects all summer and early fall. You can sometimes see the flying in tandem above slow freshwater, the female dipping her tail into the water to lay eggs.
