To get there from Vancouver, take Lougheed Highway (highway number 7) east from Broadway at Boundary Road through Burnaby to the Barnet Highway (highway 7A) Pine Tree Way junction in Port Coquitlam. Turn East at the junction along Lougheed Highway until Coast Meridian Road turnoff. Turn Left, (North) from Lougheed along Coast Meridian to Victoria Drive. Turn right (East) to follow Victoria Drive until it turns into Quarry Road near Minnekhada Park. Follow the Quarry road (Minnekhada) signs to the Quarry Road parking lot.
Meet at the Quarry Road Parking lot located at the southwest corner of Minnekhada Regional Park. Bring a bag lunch.
Enjoy a morning of plant and wildlife exploration of Quarry Road Trail around the northern peripheral of Minnekhada's Upper Marsh discussing Digital and Analogue photography topics.
Continue to High Knoll Lookout for a spectacular view of Addington Marsh and Pitt River where we will stop for a bag lunch or your favorite munchies.
Hike further on to Low Knoll for a view of Lower Marsh.
Next, we explore Mid-marsh trail to Upper and lower Marshes before heading to Log Walk Trail and back to the Quarry Road Parking lot.
Some of the more common wildlife to be photographed in Spring, Summer and Fall at Minnekhada.

You will need to bring with you:
A camera you feel comfortable using (Film or Digital) with enough film or memory for a day of shooting.
A rain coat and umbrella - to keep you and your camera dry.
A snack, or lunch.
Half a liter to one liter of water (or juice) for drinking along the trail - No alcohol please.
Comfortable shoes or boots for a five hour hike.
Cost: Twelve dollars per person. No more than six persons to a hike.
