Mission BC abandoned 1959 GMC Dump Truck.

Abandoned City Works equipment found off the Dewdney Trunk road behind an old building at 30729 - this truck, along with a vintage tow truck, 2 bulldozers and several propane tanks, along with two small sheds in mid collapse are on the same property in Mission District (near Stave Falls). The liscence plate on the truck is 1973 issue which means the truck has probably been sitting here for 34 years. Such a beautiful bit of equipment with moss and lichen, trees and shrubs growing around in an attempt from nature to reclaim the area.

Seems to me that all of the metal parts of the truck are still intact and it might be salvagable - some one needs a project? The dump bin is full of old truck tires and parts.

These days Vintage or historic buildings and equipment are quickly disappearing or rusting into oblivion. This is a 1959 Dump Truck by GMC photographed April 10, 2007.
