Scenes - Ophir, Oregon

Looking south from a viewpoint south of Ophir, Oregon. That is the rain cloud I awoke with at 6 AM, hurried to get through camp breaking and on down the road while my tent and belongings were still dry. I have a rain poncho that I usually wear when it rains, but when I am cycling it becomes a liability - I was happily pedaling my merry little way two morning ago when a large truck passed. As the truck passed, the wake of air blasted my poncho up over my head from back to front, effectively blinding me momentarily until I could pull the poncho back over my head. Dangerous, especially when going down hill at warp factor 1 (about 30 miles per hour - don`t laugh, on a fully loaded, top heavy bike, that is fast).
