Angel Wings with surfing Bounty!

Pleurocybella Porrigens - Angel Wings with Bounty - Buntzen Lake, Anmore, BC - September 28, 2008

Pleurocybella Porrigens (Angel Wings) This edible mushroom is broad, thin-fleshed, stalkless, white cap with white gills, in clusters on wood. A tasty snack along the trail during the months of September and October. Usually found scattered or in groups on decaying coniferous wood and are usually very easy to spot because of the contrasting color of the white against the decaying wood matter and moss coverings.

The Bounty was built back in 1960 for MGM's Mutiny on the Bounty starring Marlon Brando. This film star is a 180 foot Square-rigged three master constructed in Lunenburg, N.S., based on original drawings still on file in the British Admiralty archives. It's home port is Greenport, Long Island, New York.
