Ward's Marina at Mud Bay - Nicomekl River

Fiberglass Rowboat: Contrasting color from the muddy water of the Nicomekl River - Photographed March 23, 2008.

Positioned next to the Historic Stewart Farm at 13723 Crescent Road in the Elgin Historic Site. The Historic Stewart Farm features a beautifully restored 1894 farmhouse, pole barn, and heirloom gardens in a pastoral setting on the Nicomekl River. Regular events include tours by guides in period-style costume, woodstove cooking, heritage crafts and participatory old-fashioned parlor games. Visitors are invited to bring a picnic or enjoy a stroll on the network of walking trails.

The Stewart family lived on this property for over five decades, operated a successful farm, and contributed with their neighbor to the development of a thriving community.
